August sightings at Swan View Park where a bit disappointing with just the usual wildlife to see. I was fortunate enough to see a Grey Heron fishing in the river and catch a large pike before flying off.

All photographs were taken in and around Swan Valley Lake Park during the month of August. The park is a small nature reserve in the Blackwater Valley on the outskirts of Sandhurst. There is a huge variety of bird and insect life and if you are lucky you may even see an occassional deer or fox.

Insect Life

Still only a few butterflies were spotted but I did manage to capture a Common Blue.
