June witnessed the my first sighting of the Sand Martins for this year and the return of the Little Egret.

The Blacked Headed Gulls were feeding in the evening, swooping down low over the water. I tried some low-key images by deliberately under exposing.

Still plenty of damselflies but only one new butterfly spotted this month.

All photographs were taken in and around Swan Valley Lake Park during the month of June. The park is a small nature reserve in the Blackwater Valley on the outskirts of Sandhurst. There is a huge variety of bird and insect life and if you are lucky you may even see an occassional deer or fox.
