Sightings in May included lots of chicks. They are always great to photograph. The park fully reopened mid month and the bad weather continued although it improved by the end of the month.
The eggs have hatched and the proud parents are taking good care of them.

There are a lot more damselflies and they have paired up.

All photographs were taken in and around Swan Valley Lake Park during the month of May. The park is a small nature reserve in the Blackwater Valley on the outskirts of Sandhurst. There is a huge variety of bird and insect life and if you are lucky you may even see an occassional deer or fox.
