Swan Lake Park – September

September 30, 2024 0 385

September was another quiet month. It was good to see a few more butterflies in particular lots of Speckled Woods. The kingfisher returned for the first time in nearly six months although it continues to be camera shy.

All photographs were taken in and around Swan Valley Lake Park during the month of September. The park is a small nature reserve in the Blackwater Valley on the outskirts of Sandhurst. There is a huge variety of bird and insect life and if you are lucky you may even see an occassional deer or fox.

The Jays were busy caching acorns for the winter, constantly flying to and fro
